A Place at the Table

The Greenhouse and the Broad Street Market are working together to promote a film screening of A Place at the Table.  The film is an important and inspiring documentary about the U.S. food system and the hunger that some Americans face despite the abundance of food.

The film screening will be part of a wider community gathering which will include live music, market food and community exhibitors.  The film will be projected outside in the courtyard of the Broad Street Market.  The Market is located at 1233 N. 3rd Street in Harrisburg.
This event is happening as part of Midtown Harrisburg's monthly Third in the Burg on Friday May 17, 2013.  The film will be screened at dusk and you are invited to bring your own chair.  Music and exhibitors will be set up starting at 7:00PM.

The event is free of charge and all are welcome.  A network of organizations that care about south central Pa's food system and the hunger that persists right in our neighborhoods has formed recently.  This working group, the South Central Food Systems Alliance, will be represented at this event and invites individuals and community organizations to attend so that we can exchange ideas about how to make our corner of the world a more fair one when it comes to food access.
