Fair Food Event and screening of the movie Food Chains

May 19, 6 pm  The movie Food Chains will be shown in which “A small group of workers toils to overcome corporate greed and end slavery and abuse in America’s fields, revealing what actually feeds our country.”

Come learn more about the history of food and farmworkers in the US and some of the current activism that is making the growing and selling of food more just, healthy and sustainable. 

Find out how you can support local farmworkers, restaurant workers and others who labor in low-wage jobs all along the food chain.

The movie will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with local food chain activists.  Find out how you can support local farmworkers and other low-wage food chain workers.

Follow-up event May 21, 11 am - 3 pm -- Meet and Greet our local Farmworkers

Meet at 11 am at the Western Farm Workers office, 725 SE 7th Ave, Hillsboro and caravan to some of the labor camps to meet and greet local farmworkers.
